Workshop for TYA teachers

Yoga teacher Ben Parkes is running a workshop for the TYA. Called Yoga and our Shadow Self, the workshop will invite teachers to discover the power of shadow work in yoga or, in other words, discovering the light of insight within our own personal darkness.

It takes place on Sunday 20th October between 10.00 am - 4.00 pm in Reading.

Psychologist Carl Jung was the first in the West to speak about ‘the shadow self’ ~ that side of ourselves that contains enormous strength and power but also our great challenges like, fear, anger, etc. The Yogis

spoke of it as samskara ~ the power of past impressions. On this dynamic workshop teachers will look at using Yoga and shadow work techniques to connect to the samskara within and achieve heightened awareness beyond it.
